Kia Ora My name is Kyle R and me and my class have been working on Music and in this topic we have been learning all sorts of Terms of music and different kinds of it.There are all sorts of Music like Rap,Rock,Punk Rock,Looping,Hip hop,Yodelling,Jazz,and much more.Not everyone has the same definition of music but to us DS our definition is...

      Music        

1.  Its the sound that people listen to.
2. It can be the source of inspiration.
3. Music can have a beat,Rhythm,and emotion.

Also in counting the beat we have been working on the Ukulele.The Ukulele is a small version of the guitar but the Guitar has 6 strings while the Ukulele has four.In DST we have been trying to us the Ukulele in songs like The lion sleeps tonight,Stand by me,and One call away.There is a Music tune that is called riff the riff is a tune that can appear in any type of Music but it mostly appears in Rock,Punk rock,Jazz,And Latin Music.When we were outside playing the ukulele there were different kinds of keys on it there are the 1 2 and 3 but in music you put them in combos like 3,2 1,2 1 3,1.That is a beat in one of the songs called stand by me.We can find music everywhere and below these words there are 10 places that you can find music.

Today me and my class are writing about authors and books so I choose a very famous book called the Twits by the number 1 best story teller Roald Dahl. And I have to answer questions like...What do you predict about this book once you read the cover?

And I have answered I think this book may be about a man called Mr. Twits and he has a very old and hairy beard.

Another question is What impression do you get when you look and read this text?When I look and read this text I think of a unhappy man and a silly Lizard holding a bucket of white paint.

And the finial question is Who is the author? what kinds of awards did he get? were is he from? And why do you think your teacher has chosen this book for you?

The author is Roald Dahl.He is from the united Kingdom.He has won the award for the worlds best story teller.He also got the 1983 world fantasy Award and the life achievement.

I think that my teacher has chosen this book for me because Roald Dahl was an amazing story teller.And his books are to make kids have a laugh.

Kids Favourite Authors

Today me and my class have made 2 different charts for this Topic and for this Topic we are doing Kids Favourite Authors.And these kids are year 8-6 boys & girls.And for these charts i have used The pie chat and some sort of mesmerising chart  that goes side ways.The top 3 Authors that have been chosen the most is...E.T Auberg,Omar Ryan,and Marina Gilchrist,And the least favourite one was...Francine Scott And the boys least favourite author was Marina Gilchrist And there favourite was E.T Auberg.The girls favorite Author was also like E.T Auberg and there least was Bheka Kaleni.And now with these two graphs i have two chose witch one is better to see and read the pie chart is really good for this topic because it shows percents like 23.2% or 7.2%.The 23.2% is better than the 7.2% so the pie chart would show a bigger piece of pie than the other one.But the Bar chart is much more easy to see because it shows you what is more voted and what is least voted.So what i think is easier to read and show to a meeting or a class about a project is the Bar chart.
