Why are chilis hot? Chilis are so hot due to a defense mechanism it has a chemical inside it called capsaicin which binds to heat-sensing that burns our tongue. What is the hottest pepper in the world? if you search up the hottest pepper in the world it comes up with the Carolina pepper but that is not the hottest pepper in the world. The hottest pepper ever is the Pepper X it is 10x hotter than the Carolina pepper. Include pictures of chili plants and don't forget to add their name. Milk had a small effect on the chili but did not take the spiciness away instantly
Coke had a small effect on the chili. Coke worked well after 3 minutes
Water had no effect. And did not go away after 3 minutes I strongly advise that when you are eating chili do not go and get a cup of water. Milk would be the most effective drink to use with spicy, chili foods.
And milk could be a solution when eating spicy foods--Literally, that's because milk helps your mouth handle capsaicin and oily chemical compound in chili peppers. Capsaicin binds to a receptor in the tongue and creates a burning sensation casein protein could in milk also bind to the capsaicin and wash it away.
