Reading part 2

Reading part 2
This time in reading i am studding about the Christchurch earthquakes and it asked me questions like...

  • How have the Christchurch earthquakes had an impact on our city?
  • What positive or negatives have come from the quakes?
  • What are some changes that citizens have made to prevent damage happening from potential future earthquakes?

So here i have put down my answers of this task
1.Thousands of people were made homeless,Also the ChristChurch Cathedral was destroyed.

2.Despite the devasstation, earthquakes can also have some positive benefits: the people bonded together to support one another and communities became closer.

3.One important way to prepare for a earthquake  is to try make your house as safe as possible. It complies with local building codes and identify potential weaknesses. And you should have a survive kit with food and medical things.

and those are my 3 answers for this task thanks for reading my blog.

Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs
In this blog im not talking about lexia,or Mathletics.
This time i have gone to my reading folder and found something about dinosaurs and it asked me things like...What evidence is there that New Zealand had dinosaurs? and What is a fossil and what information do they give us? and lastly Which dinosaur do you think would have survived the best in New Zealand? And here are my answers for this project. 1. Although the evidence is rare,Fossils reveal that there were dinosaurs in new Zealand.Only fragments of bone and a few vertebrae have been found there. 2. Some animals and plant are only known to us as fossils.By studying the fossils record we can tell how long life has existed on earth, and how different plants and animals are related to each other. 3.     For number 3 I think that the Tuatara would live the best in NZ.Plus it is still here living and breathing and it is a dinosaur. Also the Tuatara has lived longer than most dinosaurs the only reason they are still breathing is because they built bowwows also known as bunkers. Here are some facts about the tuatara.
1. The tuatara is native to NZ.
2. Tuatara can live up to 100 years old
3. The Male is much bigger than the Female.

When was it made,How many people did it take to make it. here are some facts.

  1.  The great wall has been standing for a very long time it was made in the 7th century BC so it is at least 2000 years ago.
  2. This involves many lives people ask how many people did it take to make the wall?Well it took 300,000 Soldiers and 500,000 common people,Under the orders of  Emperor Qin.
  3.  This one is all about the people that had lost there lives i have looked through google and 400,000 people died when it was done, the workers were buried within the wall itself.
  4. The emperor Qin Shi Huang was the one who had gave the orders during the making of the wall.
  5. The wall was built to protect China and the people that lived in side the wall from  its enemies and invaders from the North, mostly Mongols. The Mongols were a tribe  group that tried to raid  China.
  6. The wall still stands and reaches up to 5500 miles from Hushan to Jiayuguan.
