Hurumanu: 1

Moulde: Na Tangata

Name: Kyle

Teacher:Ds

Term: 3

Reflection:

Give at least three examples in each of the boxes below.

What We Did:

  • In writing, we did the setting of where our story was taking place I did horror. My story is that 7 people are stuck in an elevator and there is a serial killer amongst them.

  • We also did the characters in the story everyone knows what the characters are but if you don’t they are the people in the story that you read of make by writing a story but you probably already knew that.

  • And lastly, we did the problem in the story like something like you went to go play soccer at the park but it rained all day so you couldn’t go.

What I Learned:

  • I learned were to put good punctuation in my story or stories so that it is better for the reader and for the story.

  • I also learned where to put big words so the story sounds more interesting to the reader the teacher and me.

  • And lastly, I learned how to Make stories better in general.

My Favourite Parts:

  • One of my favorite parts was using words that i would not normally use in my stories so they were more exciting.

  • Another one of my favorite parts was planning what the story might be about because i had so many ideas that I could not decide what to choose.

  • And lastly, another favorite part was just writing which was the best.

My Next Steps:

  • One of my next steps is to add more punctuation so that it can be better than this story i have written

  • And my last step is to just write more stories and try to be the best i can be.

Hot chili tasting

Ghost Chilli Peppers - Caution, Extremely Hot Chillies | The Spice PeopleWorld's Hottest Pepper, Pepper X | Tasting TableWhy are chilis hot? Chilis areCarolina Reaper - Wikipedia so hot due to a defense mechanism it has a chemical inside it called capsaicin which binds to heat-sensing that burns our tongue. What is the hottest pepper in the world? if you search up the hottest pepper in the world it comes up with the Carolina pepper but that is not the hottest pepper in the world. The hottest pepper ever is the Pepper X it is 10x hotter than the Carolina pepper. Include pictures of chili plants and don't forget to add their name. I have no room to put so photos right now so I will put them in at the end of this blog but their names are Pepper X Carolina pepper and the ghost pepper. Name the top six peppers in the world.PepperX, Carolina reaper, Trinidad moruga scorpion,7 Pot Douglah,7 pot primo,I think that by using milk I will be able to remove the hot chili taste from my mouth I doubt that coca-cola

Equipment

1.Milk

2.Water

3.Coca-cola

4.Tasting cup

5.Chili

Milk had a small effect on the chili but did not take the spiciness away instantly

Coke had a small effect on the chili. Coke worked well after 3 minutes

Water had no effect. And did not go away after 3 minutes I strongly advise that when you are eating chili do not go and get a cup of water. Milk would be the most effective drink to use with spicy, chili foods.

And milk could be a solution when eating spicy foods--Literally, that's because milk helps your mouth handle capsaicin and oily chemical compound in chili peppers. Capsaicin binds to a receptor in the tongue and creates a burning sensation casein protein could in milk also bind to the capsaicin and wash it away.

 Australian bushfires

How did the Australian bushfires start? The Australian bushfires started by things like lightning strikes, Acts of humans, And climate change,2020 was what we called the hottest and dryest year in Australia. The Australian bushfire lasted for 79 days imagine how many trees and land would have been burned to a crisp. This cost the government of Australia 103 Billion dollars. This took place in Australia but you probably knew that because of its name Australian bushfires. Who did this affect? The Australian bushfires mostly affected the animals like the Koalas, more than 60,000 koalas were lost in the Australian bushfire event.

Did you also know that over 3 billion animals were lost in the bush fire? Rescue teams and wildlife teams tried their best to save people and animals. Also, over 15 million areas were burnt to the ground. All airports were shut down so people in other countries were told that their flight was canceled due to the Australian bushfires so R.I.P. honeymoon. When fire increases it gets hotter.

The goods news is that it was finally put out by the government, cisterns,
